We are UNVERZOLLT, a thriving community of about two dozen artists and designers from Hamburg and abraod, who share an open studio space in the heart of the city’s historic “Speicherstadt” district.
Here, in a beautiful repurposed neo-gothic warehouse that’s part of the larger UNESCO World Heritage site, we follow our individual artistic pursuits, work on creative projects and collaborate on group exhibitions and other shared endeavours.
Established in 2018 and supported by the Hamburg Kreativgesellschaft, we continue to provide local and international artists and designers with affordable studio spaces and - more importantly - with a supportive community of fellow creatives from all over the world and a wide variety of artistic viewpoints and backgrounds, to continually inspire and be inspired by.
With the modern Elbphilharmonie and the constant bustle of tourists on our left, and the small and narrow historic waterways of the Speicherstadt on our right, we do our part to make sure Hamburg’s cultural landscape remains alive and vibrant.
